Julie Brautigam, Director of Ethics and Compliance and Sustainability; Baxter Healthcare Inc.
Julie Brautigam has worked for Baxter since 2002 in a variety of roles. In her sustainability-related role, she is responsible for coordinating the company's executive Sustainability Steering Committee, which sets Baxter's long-term sustainability vision and goals. She also works with internal business partners across the organization to implement programs and track progress against those goals.
Additionally, Ms. Brautigam engages with external stakeholders, such as Ceres, on issues of mutual interest. In her Ethics and Compliance role, she manages the company's global anti-corruption program, which involves setting policy and conducting training and assessments of the company's business practices and those of its vendors. She continues to provide counsel on significant environmental, health and safety compliance matters, and manages Baxter's corporate policies development process.
Prior to joining Baxter, Ms. Brautigem worked at Indeck Energy Services, as an Environment, Health and Safety Manager for several production facilities and at International Paper on environmental management systems, sustainable forestry and climate change policy.
Ms. Brautigam graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University (cum laude) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and earned a Master of Environmental Management degree in Resource Economics and Policy from Duke University.
