Steven Harvey, Global EHS Director; Bacardi Martini Ltd.
Steven Harvey joined Bacardi in 2006 as the company's first Global Director of Environment, Health and Safety. He is responsible for running the company's worldwide programs in environment, health, safety (EHS) and sustainability. Mr. Harvey has more than 35 years of experience in managing environment, health and safety at major multinational companies engaged in chemicals, mining, industrial products and natural gas transmission.
He is currently an active member of the Beverage Industry Environmental Roundtable and the Manufacturer's Alliance (MAPI) Council, which he chaired from 1999 to 2001. He has also served on numerous other trade group committees, including the Business Roundtable Climate Resolve Steering Committee and the Industrial Pollution Prevention Committee. He also was the Chair of the Industrial Minerals Association - North America's Greenhouse Gas Committee and served as a Presidential Appointee to the Outer Continental Shelf Advisory Board during the Reagan Administration.
Before joining Bacardi, he worked for 12 years at FMC Corp. in Philadelphia, serving as Corporate Director of Environment Services. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University; a Master of Science degreein Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University; and an MBA from Boston College's Carroll School of Management. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
